  one of the fundamental keys to a successful marriage.

  doing stuff you wouldn't ordinarily do... stuff you don't and wouldn't ever do by nature, but you do it because you're married to this particular person.

  without it a marriage is, at best, an unhappy situation; at worst, a divorce waiting to happen.

  I have to agree with Flower. I know from my own experience. My father being a non-believer and my mom being a believer. They have been married for over 30 years and my mother does not let up. It is the witness way. They always have to try to convert you. It doesn't matter who you are or what the relationship is to that person. They will always try to make you become a JW. That's just my experience. I would just try to stand your ground. Mutual respect is what it's all about. You respect her beliefs and she respects your non beliefs. Hopefully. I feel for you. Panther

  a man was driving down the street---passed an old peoples home- saw 10 nude ladies laying on the lawn.

  he was surprised!!

  on returning an hour later -the same ladies were still laying nude on the lawn- so he went inside to report it to the supervisor!!!

  jehovah's witnesses teach that when we face persecution, it's a good thing!

  if we're "persecuted for righteousness sake", we should be "happy".

  i've seen some jws that actually seem to enjoy the thought of persecution, as if they were martyrs for the cause.

  when president bush told the russians a few years ago that he was building a missile defense system to protect the us against rogue nations having the atomic bomb, the russians felt obliged to make a new missile able to penetrate this missile defense system.

  during the first gulf war in 1991, the patriot missiles were supposed to shoot down any incoming scud missile, and although the us said the missile worked, 10 years later they admitted that not one hit an incoming scud missile.

  if you are not feeling well, have a headache, a backache, whatever but you would go to work but didn't go to a meeting or in "field service"---then you "sinned" against jehovah.....any others?
